Did you try image shack? Joe has very good instructions on how to use it.

Thanks for the tip, Terry!  I hope it works.  I built my first bat house based purely on available scrap plywood.  Everything that I've read tells me it's too narrow (interior width 7 1/2 inches) Just hung it this week, in New York's mid-Hudson valley, so time will tell.

Is this a single crevice house? How thick is the crevice space?

The light grey color of the bat house might not be the best for New York. It seems that the house is in a moderately shaded area, so I would suggest a dark brown, dark green, or dark red color to absorb more of the sun's rays.

By the way, I have observed two "barn red" colored houses here in Iowa that were very successful in attracting bats, and the color was very striking and beautiful to the human eye.

It's a 2 chamber house, 3/4 crevice space, and the house is actually black...4 coats.  Just weird light reflection in photo.  It faces due south and gets full sun exposure.  Trees are north and the branches do not impose...6 to 8 feet away.  Height 17 feet.

Hi when you post the image from image shack you must use the "direct" URL not the "forum"  the latter is for clicking the url as you did in the next post.  For an inline image in the insert image of the post again it is the image shack "direct" choice URL.  Thanks for the photo..  Joe

I can see it.........I think you've got a good chance of getting at least one or two bats in there this year!
