| Nice looking setup there Mike! Might also consider predator gaurds on posts in future. Helps with climbing predators such as snakes etc. Will assist you with further info if necessary when I return next week! Thanks for post!

| I would have posted a reply a lot sooner but I've had no power since Sun. morning, it just came back on (Thurs. 1600) The Bat house came through the storm just fine. Two weeks ago, when hurricane Charley was threating us I went and cut a pressure treated 2x4x8 into 2 feet sections and took those four pieces and concreted them in the ground. From those I went up to the legs of the bat house with 4-2x4x8's and bolted them all together. I'm sure if I hadn't of done that Francis would have blown it down with the 70+mph winds we got from her. I'll try to get a pic of the house so you can see what I'm talking about.

I hope I got the size right on this one. Here it is:

You'll also notice in the background to the right the tree I was talking about cutting down. I haven't finished the job yet, I still need to cut down the trunks.

| Thanks Joe, we are not looking forward to another one  but the bat house is definitely ready. If this one is anything like Francis I'm sure we'll be out of power again but as soon as I can, I'll drop a post letting ya know how we did.
