I'm new to bat house construction and have designed and am currently building three houses.  They are 20"tall x 16" wide, four chamber, wood houses constructed of 1/2" exterior plywood.  I have used recommended design and construction techniques found at BCM, BCI and other internet sources.  I will be using 1/8" plastic mesh, http://www.industrialnetting.com/hobby.html applied with stainless steel staples for grip surfaces.

I have a question concerning the use of the plastic mesh.  Should I apply it to all interior surfaces or just one side of each space?

Thanks for any help

I just apply it to one side.........the side that faces out........that way when they enter they can easily grab ahold. I've had very good luck that way..........I don't think it is neccessary to put it on both sides

I built a slightly larger house for a nursery colony. My plans called for scoring or mesh on front and back inside panels and all baffles on both sides.

Good luck on your houses
