| Wow, sounds like things are not the best in Iowa Nate. I, and everyone else I'm sure, hope things have or will turn around for the better. I guess that maybe I should watch the news a little more and have a more in-depth understanding of what's going on.

Final numbers are in! I had a few people from the Nature Center do counts of the bats from both houses in mid July. The number was around 800 total.
It seems as though my hopes of doubling the colony actually happened, although I never expected it to happen within the first year.
There has still not been any recorded occupants in the house mounted directly on the side of the building, but I am expecting a few bats to take up residence next year.

| Nate, that is amazing! Are both houses the exact same size? How many square feet of roosting space in each box?

Both houses are exactly the same. I ran the figures on the square footage of roosting area and it came to 15 square feet in each house. I am eagerly anticipating next Spring already to see if the numbers increase even more .
