Here in nw pa we have had a dry summer...........At my residence where I have most of my bat houses, both my little brown and big brown maternity colonies have been leaving for days at a time..........I am wondering if they are roosting closer to a source of fresh water? The closest stream I have is 1/3 of a mile a way and it is quite small. The nearest high quality good sized stream is one mile away.

This has me wondering if my recent success of suddenly attracting approx. 100 little browns to a bat house near a natural lake is the result of our dry summer?
