I have a mansford roof which has a 30 degree pitch. I would love to place a bat house on the front of my house. Will this work?

I've seen bat houses mounted on an angle but guano accumulates inside. It might be better to mount it on an extension out away from your roof so it is positioned vertically........the bats would also have more exit flight space that way.
