Does anyone have any information on specific pre built bat houses that work well? (Brand, model and where to purchase.) I am interested in a colony of about 100 bats.
I live in North West Indiana and am having a major problem with mosquitoes. (My son is very allergic to them) There is a couple of acres of woods and a 3 acre pond behind my home.
Any tips and info would be greatly appreciated.

FWIW, I started my search for bat houses last year, about mid-July, and finally felt comfortable with what I wanted to do this spring. I ordered a couple houses from Marvin Maberry, and got them up on a pole in April of this year. I only have a few bats in the house so far, but am confident that next year will see a bigger influx of them.
By the way, I'm not too far from you -- I'm in SW Ohio, and travel to Northern Indiana -- Valpo/Michigan City -- frequently to visit family. It was on one of my trips to Lafayette, Indiana, last year that I was introduced to bats. And, I've been fasicnated by them ever since.
